UILC is part of a nationwide network of disability-led, non-residential organizations helping people with disabilities build skills, access resources, and live independently in their communities.

Authorized by the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, UILC has been part of a nationwide network of 400+ Centers for Independent Living since 1981 — one of six serving Utah.
